I've finally got the new Patreon page set up over at the Patreon site, and I hope you'll all check it out:

Based on everyone's advice, the way I've chosen to frame it is that anyone who pledges to contribute at least $1 per piece of artwork I post will get access to the monthly Drop Box drive where I'm putting lots of sketches that are either too rough or too saucy for me to post here, basically the kind of stuff that would never see the light of day otherwise. I'm also throwing in PDFs of the two previous Shadowlust books as well as the three "Chronicles of Tanys" novels that I wrote about my favorite knife-wielding barbarian girl.

It also includes all the episodes of Delve and all the Vote Incentive pics from over the years, as well as some "Director's Commentary" that I'm writing for each episode. I'm up to Episode 25 on the commentary so far, and I plan on working my way through the whole run as time permits.

For folks that want to pledge a little more, I've set up a $7 per piece level for anyone interested. For these folks, I'll offer a monthly Q&A session with any of my characters, as well as a chance to give their input on the content of my monthly sketchwork.

Depending on how it goes, I might offer other incentives and pledge levels in the future as well, but I've got to start somewhere, and we'll see how it goes.

For those of you like me who are too broke to afford to pledge anything, I can promise that you aren't going to get screwed out of anything. Even though my Patrons will support my regular posts with pledges, I will still be posting the finished color pieces here or on my other free sites. Patrons will just get a chance to see the kind of things that I would not be posting publicly under normal circumstances.

Thanks again for all your great advice and support. I really appreciate it!

Zarathul is the deranged alter ego of a quiet, unassuming man named Andrew Hunter who fractured his psyche in a forbidden attempt to channel the spirits of H.P. Lovecraft and C.S. Lewis. The resultant explosion tore apart the fabric of space and time, summoning into this world the rat-infested hulk of the H.M.S. Lewcroft, which had gone missing off the coast of Bermuda in April of 1952, as well as the mad ghost of an 18th Century privateer calling himself Zarathul the Undying. Upon his return to this world, Zarathul soon evicted the rats and sold the Lewcroft as scrap iron. Unfortunately, he lost most of the profit in some rather unsound investment schemes in the early 90's, and he now resides with Mister Hunter and earns a meager living by creating art and literature of a questionable nature while pursuing his hobbies of treasure appreciation and scowling.

The rats fared much better, having invested their share of the scrap metal proceeds in tech stocks, and they are now living comfortably in Bermuda and curating a popular design blog.

Commission Rates

In general I charge the following in US dollars:

Pencil Drawing - $30 for one character, add $15 for each additional character.
Line Art - $80 for one character, add $40 for each additional character.
Full Colored Drawing - $140 for one character, add $60 for each additional character.

Drawings may include a simple background. If you are interested in more detailed backgrounds or sequential art scenes, we can discuss it. In general though, people don’t usually come to me looking for masterful renderings of architecture.

As for content, I prefer to avoid extreme violence and scenes involving politics or religion. Basically, let me know what you had in mind, and I will let you know if it is something I would do a good job of. Also, I don’t like drawing other people’s characters without their permission, so I don’t do fan art.

All commissions are delivered via email as digital files. Please contact me if you are interested or have any questions.

Thank you.

Out of curiosity. How many times have the main character gotten eaten so far?

Hmn, I can't say that I've really kept track. At least twice in the comic, and who knows how many times in the bonus art. 8)

Hehe, fair enough. Also, I was curious. I would love to see the voter image on your webcomic called *Wrong Turn*. But I cant find the link atm for that image. Mind helping me out? :-)

Hi, and thanks!

I started out in digital art on Photoshop, which I still use for most of my coloring. Lately, however, I've been shifting more and more to working on Manga Studio 5 which I use for all of my inking now. Compared to everything else I've tried, Manga Studio is by far my favorite for inking my pencil sketches, and the paint brush tools are actually pretty good too.

Thank you very much for this answer. Your art is really great, so please do never stop.
