Ok, so several people have suggested that I look into Patreon, and, based on their advice and the web surfing I did today, I think I have a basic grasp of the concept now, and I wanted to run it by you all to get your opinions.
So, I'm thinking that I would set up a Patreon page where I would have you all pledge whatever you felt comfortable pledging to pay for the sort of thing that I usually post here on Deviant Art. So, for every episode of Delve (about 4 per month) and every full-color pinup I post here, I would ask for a paid donation from my patrons. I would still post those things here for everyone to see, but anyone who wanted to could help support my work (and encourage me to actually do more of it) by being a patron.
In addition, for those of you who actually are patrons, you would have access to the super-secret Patron-Only news feed or whatever Patreon does, where I would post a monthly link to a Drop Box drive where I could put all my sketches and stuff that would be considered too naughty for DA (or the Patreon system itself). I think as long as I tag my work as NSFW and keep the Patreon page Private (as far as I understand it, that just means that normal people couldn't browse through the Patreon site and accidentally have their retinas seared out by images of naked elf breasts and slimy tentacles) I should be able to post pretty much anything that I can post to DA through Patreon as well for the purpose of "Paid" updates.
Now this would solve the problem that I'm having with getting my sketchbooks out to you guys without having to route my PDF downloads through New Zealand because no other country will touch my filthy wares or producing expensive Print On Demand books that only the most diehard fans will actually buy.
The one drawback I saw so far is that, since my work is adult in nature, you wouldn't be able to use PayPal, so you'd have to use a credit card or something to pledge.
Now this is all assuming that I can overcome my Luddite Field for long enough to actually get this all working, so no promises yet, but what do you think of the idea?

I'm on the Squick or Squee Podcast!
I was recently interviewed by the great Iago Faustus, creator of eroticmadscience.com, and you can hear it now on his podcast! we had a great time talking about art, censorship, and the slow internet connections of old. Be sure to check out the other creators he's interviewed as well! https://squickorsquee.libsyn.com/004-andrew-hunter
I'm on SubscribeStar now!
I just set up a new page on SubescribeStar Adult for all of you folks looking for an alternate means of supporting my work while getting a chance to see some of the things I can't post here!
Please check it out, if it seems like something you might be interested in, and let me know what kind of things you'd like to see me post there in the future.

I've got a few things live on the page now for the two tiers I've come up with so far, but I'd love to hear any ideas of how I could improve the page.
Thanks!
Happy New Year!
I just wanted to say hello, and let you all know that things are going well around here.
I look back over the past year… the past seven years really, and realize just how far I’ve come and just how lucky I really am to be able to do what I do and have the things I have.
I get really stressed sometimes about my “failures” and all the things I’ve lost, but, when I’m seeing clearly, I know I’ve already won the game, and now I’m just playing for the Bonus Points, collecting all the hidden stars, finding all the Easter Eggs.
Thinking back to the man I was when I still had those things that I’

Seems like time for another update, for those of you who are interested.
Oh, but first, a bit of business:
Commissions are closed.
I’m sorry, but I have way too many projects going on right now to take on any more. The closest thing I have to commissions these days is my Sketch Request tier over on Patreon, if you’re interested and cool with some less-polished work.
Anyway, I’m still drawing, still struggling with depression, still trying to improve every day, and still enjoying every minute of it! (Well, not the depressing ones. Those minutes suck)
I think my current philosophy falls somewhere in between the state of

I hope you keep us updated on how you go with Patreon. I've been considering setting something up with that site, but I just don't know if it's the right model for me yet. I want to keep my work free to view by the public, and I'm also not as prolific as most artists, which would be a problem. Anyway, good luck and I hope it works out for you!
